AMIDE Cosmetics & Research sources cosmetic ingredients, fragrance materials and candle making supplies for the businesses that formulate and make products, and connects them with the manufacturers who produce the raw materials.

Who we are

AMIDE Cosmetics & Research is a UK sourcing and supply business for cosmetic, fragrance and home-fragrance raw materials. We sit between the brands, formulators and makers who need a material and the manufacturers who produce it. Our work is to pin a requirement down precisely (INCI name, grade, form, origin, pack size, documents) and match it to a manufacturer that can supply and document it.

We work with independent skincare and beauty brands, contract and private-label manufacturers, freelance formulators, candle, wax melt and reed diffuser makers, small fragrance studios, and salons, spas and retailers developing an own-label range. Quantities run from sample packs for bench trials to 25 kg drums.

How we sell

There is no online checkout and we do not take card payments. You send a requirement by email or through the quote form, we reply with a written quotation, and on acceptance we issue a pro forma invoice with our bank details. Payment is by bank transfer (Faster Payments) before dispatch. The full process, including delivery, cancellation and complaints, is on the How to order page.

Our own range

Alongside sourcing, we are developing a small range of our own formulated products. Nothing is on sale yet. Each product will be listed on the Our range page with its full INCI ingredient list, pack size and price only once its safety assessment and notification are complete.

What we don’t claim

We do not manufacture, test or certify anything. We do not own laboratories or factories, hold accreditations or have named manufacturing partners, and we do not say we do. Where a manufacturer provides a certificate of analysis, safety data sheet or conformity certificate, it stays attributed to that manufacturer and that batch.

Everything we supply is a raw material for external use only, in cosmetic, fragrance and home-fragrance formulation. We do not supply materials for any other purpose. The safety assessment, responsible person, labelling and notification of any finished product you make with our materials remain your responsibility.

Our approach
Requirement firstWe start from your specification: INCI name, grade, origin, form, quantity, pack size and the documents you need. There is no stock list to sell from.
Documents, attributedManufacturer documentation is read before it is passed on, and it stays attributed to the manufacturer and the batch. A maker's paperwork is never presented as our credential.
Plain about what we areA sourcing and supply partner. We do not manufacture, test or certify material, and we say so wherever it matters.
Verify before we assertGrade, specification, origin and availability are confirmed in writing for each requirement before anything is treated as fact.
How we work

Enquiry, source, quote, supply

01 Enquiry You send a requirement: one ingredient, one fragrance brief, or a full bill of materials.
02 Source We match it to a manufacturer that can supply it and collect the CoA, SDS and specification.
03 Quote and invoice You receive a written quotation, then a pro forma invoice with our bank details on acceptance.
04 Supply You pay by bank transfer (Faster Payments). Goods leave by tracked courier with their documents.

What we do not supply

We supply raw materials for cosmetic, personal-care, fragrance and home-fragrance formulation, for external use only. We do not supply food, food supplements, protein or meal-replacement powders, medicines, veterinary products or laboratory chemicals.
