1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

• Enquiries and quotations: your name, business name, email address, telephone number and the requirement you describe, sent through the forms on this website or by email.
• Orders: the above plus your delivery address, invoice details and the record of your payment by bank transfer. We never see or store card details, because we do not take card payments.
• Correspondence: emails and messages you exchange with us.
• Website: this website does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To answer enquiries and prepare quotations: taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
• To process, invoice, deliver and support orders, and to keep a reconciled record of payments: performance of a contract, and our legal obligations in relation to accounting, tax and product traceability.
• To tell you when our own range becomes available, only if you have asked us to: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any message.
• To keep the website secure: our legitimate interest.

We do not send unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

4. Who we share it with

Our email and web hosting provider, the couriers who deliver your order, our bank and accountants where needed to process and record payments, and manufacturers or suppliers where a name and delivery address is needed to fulfil a direct-shipped order. Each acts under contract or its own legal obligations. We do not transfer personal information outside the United Kingdom except where a supplier or courier outside the UK needs a delivery address to fulfil your order.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are kept for up to 2 years so we can pick up where we left off. Order, invoice and payment records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the order was placed, as required for tax and accounting. Consent to hear about our range lasts until you withdraw it.

6. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email hello@amideresearch.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
